I offer a confidential space, in person (in London: Regent Street or Brixton), or online, in which to consider and reflect on your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with compassion, and an openness to whatever issues you would like to bring.  The therapeutic relationship involves 'tuning-in' via thoughtful, active listening in order to gain an in-depth understanding of your experience.

I often work with clients who are encountering difficulties or significant changes in personal relationships, such as separation or divorce, or in their working lives. You may be experiencing anxiety, bereavement, depression, lack of purpose, self-doubt, perfectionism, or the complex impacts of trauma.

My approach is guided by a deep affinity for a client's desire to lead a more fulfilling life by coming to terms with the past, living fully in the present, and embracing the challenges and possibilities of the future. In therapy, we explore how you can be at home in the world in a way that feels right for you.

Fees for 50 minute sessions range from £75, online or in person at a therapy space in London. Concessional £45 fees available.

Aside from my training as a psychotherapist and counsellor, my career has involved mentoring, teaching, tutoring, research and leadership in several of the UK’s most diverse universities; and this has given me an understanding of the challenges of balancing work and life.

I researched neural networks for my doctorate, and later became a professor in several universities. I was editor of the journal, Trends in Cognitive Sciences for a couple of years. My interest in cognitive neuroscience has given me an understanding of the embodied impact of experiences, and the remarkable potential for development in each of us.

I have a masters degree (MA) with distinction in psychotherapy and counselling, and a postgraduate certificate in existential psychotherapy. I am MBACP, a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Registration number 406354).
